Northern
Architecture’s role is to promote high quality architecture
and design of public space in the North East of England. We have
two main
aims:
![]() |
1 To
work with everyone involved in providing buildings and public spaces
to achieve the highest standards of development and design.
2 To
raise public expectations about architecture and design, stimulate public
debate and provide opportunities for the public to become involved in
the process of making architecture and public space.
| We follow these three principles: | ||
Collaboration
and co-learning. We will always be ready to learn
from our partners and others involved in our programmes.
Partnership. Wherever
possible we will work with other agencies to be more effective and to
avoid duplication.
Inclusiveness. We
will work fairly with all people, whatever their race, class, religion,
or gender.
Northern
Architecture is supported by the Arts Council of England, North East
and CABE the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment.
